DeGroote School of Medicine in Ontario. Milk also has twice as much sodium as sports drinks, which is good for kids who are sweating a lot. “We’re not saying that kids shouldn’t drink water,” says Dr. Timmons. “But when you want to rehydrate the body after practice or a game, milk is better.”
