Have you ever thought about moving to a new country to live
?
We do! We wanted to Emigrate to Australia! But before leaping to this BIG decision, here are some things we need to consider first:
1. Know about the country you are planning to emigrate to. My co-teacher’s family are all emigrants to Australia except him and his family. He’ll flew to Australia this year and once he’ll settle there, he’ll invite us. This makes us consider to emigrate to Australia. Through him, we learned a bit about the country. Other information about Australia is readily available too on the internet so we better take time to study more about the country.
2. Begin to overcome language barriers before you emigrate. We used to have Australian co-teachers and having conversations with them isn’t hard. We’re able to understand each other though we speak the same language but with different accents. Language barriers in Australia is easy to overcome than overcoming the language barrier we experienced here in Thailand.
3. Understand the religious culture before you emigrate. If we’re able to understand the religious culture of Thailand, I believe it’s easier to understand the religious culture of Australia. Australia’s constitution guarantees religious freedom, and while there is no official national religion, Australia generally is described as a Christian country.
4. Do some research into employment opportunities before you emigrate. Our friend advised us that our entrance to Australia is via Student’s Visa. Once he’ll get a Student’s Visa, he’ll make me and our son dependent on him. It’s the Australian Embassy who will advise him on what course he need to take or if he’ll qualify for Masteral degree after assessing his Transcripts of Records. He ‘ll study and will be given 20 hours a week to work part-time as salesman, in factory or in restaurants. After 2 years, he’ll probably finish his course then he has more chance to get a more secure job in Australia.
5. Financial issues to consider before migrating. Life is expensive. No matter where you move, you will find this to be true. The most obvious expense we need is the preparation of the papers (documents, visas) , enrollment fees, and the move itself (airfare). Next, we need to consider is the living expenses after we’ll get to the new country. We should try to have at least four months’ worth of living expenses. Good thing that our friend and his family are there , we could ask them .
We need to start saving for that day- about 3-5 years from now
.

just stopping by to greet you a happy birthday…. australia is a nice country… it's only a few minutes away from here… God Bless on your plan to move…
