How Hyzyd enjoys his Songkhran Day

Today (April 15) is the last day of Songkhran- Thailand’s celebration of new year through water pouring. We didn’t venture out on the streets to get a thorough dousing of water with ice or prickly heat powder . Actually for my three years here in Thailand, I didn’t join the fun. I don’t want strangers pour water on me and put powder on my cheeks. I rather stay at home and watched my fave movies or blog.

On April 12 evening, elsewhere in Hatyai City, youngsters already gathered on the roadside and splashed water on motorists and pedestrians. That’s why accidents are expected. More than 80% of the accidents involved motorcycles, followed by pickup trucks and sedans. In Nakhon Ratchasima, a bus turned over as the driver tried to avoid a truck, causing two deaths .

We thought of buying water gun for Hyzyd but when we let him hold it, it’s still too big for him and he couldn’t squirt water from it so we end up buying bubble blower toy for him. He had great time with his dad playing the bubbles! He’s running after every bubbles to pop themgelakguling.

Last Sunday, Hyzyd was able to improvised a way to celebrate Songkhran, he used his dad’s spray bottle to spray water on himself. What a geniusgelakguling!

I even captured his “Songkhran” moment on video. We just let him enjoy his discovery for the momenttepuktangan.
